"We first visited the site on an autumn afternoon. The rainbow lorikeets darted between the branches of the native gums as we looked downhill over the estuary and national park that rolled all the way to the mountains on the horizon. With the late sun on our faces we realised the challenge would be to do the site justice. So, we let the site do the work, the form of each of the 3 buildings is slender to allow views and light through, while the apartments themselves have very few shared walls allowing them to open up in all directions to frame a variety of views, sometimes prosperous, sometimes intimate depending on which direction you look." - buck&simple architects
