It’s been announced this week that the auction date for The Block: Fans v Faves will be Tuesday April 8th – with the results being revealed on the finale show, to be broadcast the next day. You can now have a look at the first listings to go online for the 47 O’Grady Street address. Both apartments renovated by the Faves teams are now on the net, with the first off the Block being the listing for 4/47 O’Grady Street by Brad & Dale.  The ‘New York-style loft apartment’ is being sold via agent Karl Gillon and his team at Buxton Albert Park, who also oversaw Brad & Lara’s winning renovated property in the 2012 series. Watercress Productions, The Block’s production company have paid $5.9 million for Dux House, a 1176 square metre warehouse that has been a commercial office space and church. The factory is located at 47 O’Grady Street Albert Park. So it looks like The Block 2014 will be in Albert Park Melbourne, if the locals don’t kick up a fuss. It’s located in what is considered Melbourne’s most expensive residential pocked, measured by land value. The site’s vendor recently obtained a controversial permit allowing the warehouse to be extended and refitted into four large dwellings over four levels.
