Packed to the Rafters star Rebecca Gibney and her husband, artist Richard Bell, are selling the Clareville home they bought in 2009, with the couple simply not having time to turn it into their dream home. The family, who recently sold in Tasmania, are intent instead on finding a contemporary house in the Pittwater precinct north of Sydney. “Due to increasingly busy schedules, we have decided not to renovate our home on the northern beaches,” Gibney has told the local press on listing the property through Andrew Blake from Andrew Blake Real Estate. The four-bedroom house on a 948-square-metre block has views of Pittwater towards Ku-ring-gai Chase national park and is within walking distance of the beach and shops. Mount Rothwell Estate, a historical bluestone mansion just outside Little River is on the market for the sixth time in 139 years. The grand family home is situated at the foot of the iconic You Yangs, with incredible views across the Brisbane ranges, Macedon ranges and the Melbourne skyline. The house has quite a history. It was built in 1873 by Robert Chirnside, and stood then as a stately and magnificent home. Chirnside’s uncles, Thomas and Andrew Chirnside, lived close by in a mansion in Werribee Park. Taylor Swift to sell parents $1.45m home

American country pop singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, is selling the home she apparently bought for her parents last year. The 4,929 square foot residence was bought for $1.4 million, and is now listed at only $50 thousand more. It includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The Swift family are reported to have quite the property portfolio, including a historic mansion near Nashville they bought for $790 thousand, and Taylor’s $2 million four-bedroom penthouse, and $3.5 million gated property in Beverly Hills. Swift released her debut single ‘Tim McGraw’ in 2006, and went on to release her self-titled debut album, which was subsequently certified multi-platinum.
